Former Gatundu Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Muhia Reveals Tricks He Used To Beat President Uhuru Kenyatta in 1997

A former Gatundu Member of Parliament (MP) has revealed that he tricked President Uhuru Kenyatta in 1997 to win the parliamentary seat.

Moses Muhia claimed that he handed President Uhuru a massive defeat after he pulled a kidnapping stunt that propelled him into office from 1997-2002.

Muhia claimed that realising that he stood no chance against the powerful Kenyatta family. Under immense pressure to quit, he orchestrated the plot and sold it to a popular newspaper.

He alleged that his team concocted the kidnapping theory, crafted a plan by hiding with editors of the paper and then claimed that he had been kidnapped by State House operatives.

In the narrative spun by his team, Muhia claimed that the kidnappers working in cahoots with the Kenyatta family had taken him to State House, where he was ordered to step down in favor of Uhuru by the former President Daniel Moi.

Muhia then waited with the editors of the paper for the story to break and sealed all probable loopholes for his opponents to find him.

The next day, the fictitiously corroborated story was published and spread like bush fire, leading to a serious revolt against the Uhuru.

The headline threw President Uhuru’s team off balance and forced his campaigned to engage in frantic efforts to salvage the situation, including asking Muhia to issue a statement that the accusations were false.

The former legislator, however, told the standard that twenty years down the line he has since embraced President Uhuru as a straightforward person even though he trounced him through deceit and conspiracy.
