Former KDF Soldier Nixon Kukubo to Vie for Presidency as Independent Candidate

A man who served in the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has vowed to make President Uhuru Kenyatta a one time president in Kenya's political history.

Nixon Kukubo has joined the presidential race insisting that he will hand the Head of State a humiliating defeat after the August 8 General Election.

Kukubo disclosed that Jubilee's poor performance and the high cost of living will prompt Kenyans to choose a better leader to address their plight.

The former military man, who will vie as an independent candidate, urged Kenyans not to be deceived by either National Super Alliance (NASA) or Jubilee.

He took a swipe at the NASA line up, claiming that principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi were mere political brokers and strangers in the Alliance.

Citing what he termed shambolic party primaries, he claimed that none of the political parties or coalitions was competent enough to manage the country.

Kukubo revealed that he would launch his campaigns on Friday adding that he had already received massive support from independent candidates and many people who don't believe in party politics.

The aspirant first vied in the disputed 2007 Election and lost to former President Mwai Kibaki, garnering 5927 votes.
