Francis Kimemia Dismisses Allegations of Having Grudge with President Uhuru Kenyatta

Former Head of Public Service Francis Kimemia has finally spoken about his alleged bad blood with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking during an interview on NTV, Mr Kimemia revealed that he did not have hard feelings towards Kenyatta who dropped him as Secretary to the Cabinet in 2015 bringing an end to his long civil service career.

He insisted that he had served the nation diligently for the years he was in public service being one the most powerful personalities retained from former President Mwai Kibaki’s regime.

“I was not sacked. I stepped aside. We still remain friends and talk when we want to talk. I am not bitter about anything. Others left in far worse scenarios,” he remarked.

He was allegedly sacked after Kenyatta pointed out corruption in his office and vowed to do a thorough clean up.

Asked if his office was corruption free, he divulged that he had stepped aside for investigations to commence.

Kimemia also highlighted the pressure that top government officials face on a day to day basis asserting that the big cars and heavy security were just a ‘mirage’.

He is set to contest for the Nyandarua gubernatorial seat in the forthcoming general elections.
