Gor Mahia Football Club coach Frank Nuttall was reportedly detained on Tuesday at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi, as the team headed to the airport to catch a flight to Kisumu.
The champions who are preparing for a Wednesday league match in the Lakeside City, are reported to have left their coach behind after he was held up over an alleged bill amounting to Sh293,000.
When Kenyans.co.ke contacted Serena Hotel for a comment on the issue, the management asserted that they could not divulge details on issues involving their clients.
Following the alleged detention of the coach, Kogallo fans took issue with the team's management bashing its leadership for incompetency and sabotaging the players.
Last Saturday, some irate fans attacked the management after the team suffered a 1-2 defeat by CNaPS of Madagascar at Nyayo Stadium, where the Club's chairman Ambrose Rachier also got injured.
This comes in the backdrop of an incident where the Gor Mahia management sent Coach Nuttall packing but reinstated him hours later following fans outrage.

Prior to the reinstatement, Gor FC had accused the 46-year-old Scottish coach of fronting humongous and quite extravagant demands.
According to a statement from the team, Nuttall was insisting of residing at Serena Hotel rather than living at an apartment secured by the management.
