Isiolo Governor Godaya Doyo was on Sunday stuck for hours as he travelled to attend an event in the County following heavy rains.
The Governor and his delegation were ironically stuck on a dilapidated road while en-route to a ceremony to celebrate how the County had repaired roads since 2013.
The delegation delayed for the event when the road they were to pass through was cut off by floods at Garba Tula and Erasaboru.
A section of Governor Doyo's convoy was abandoned on the road as the event organisers were forced to delay the event.
When he finally managed to escape the mayhem, the County boss promised to tarmac an additional 500 kilometres of road to cushion residents against a similar experience.
The Governor was ridiculed by a section of social media users who circulated his bare feet photos while wading through the floody and muddy road purportedly shot on the same day.
Doyo was accompanied by his deputy governor and a host of other county government officials.
