Gubernatorial Aspirant Dr Hezron Mc'Obewa Promises to Empower Sex Workers If Elected

Kisumu County gubernatorial aspirant Dr Hezron Mc'Obewa has promised to empower sex workers in the region if he wins in the upcoming elections.

While addressing over 300 sex workers at Goan Institute in Kisumu, Dr Mc'Obewa, who is seeking to dethrone Governor Jack Ranguma, promised to make their business safe and profitable.

The candidate further alluded that he would advocate for the construction of an International Conference Centre in Kisumu to attract big events that would bring delegates to the Lakeside city who would pay the sex workers using "international rates".

“These people pay well when they visit foreign countries and your counterparts in those countries make up to Sh200,000 a night.

"It is these big conferences that bring clients who will cough out good money for you people,” he stated.

He reiterated that he would ensure maximum security was provided to them and safeguard their operations.

“Sometimes you get clients who carry you in their vehicles but your security is at risk. Sometimes you work in poorly lit areas which put you in danger. This is what we want to be changed with god leadership,” he emphasised.

The aspirant also urged the sex workers to vote for him in large numbers so that they would enjoy the better services that he would provide for them.
