Important Announcements Jubilee and ODM Party Made Today

The Jubilee Party and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) on Friday made critical announcements ahead of the much-awaited General Election.

In a press statement, ODM disclosed that the party primaries would be conducted between April 1st to 28th.

According to the schedule, the primaries will commence in Turkana and Kakamega Counties on the 1st with the next ones kicking off on April 3rd in Bungoma and Busia.
The last ODM nominations will be in Nairobi, Makueni and Garissa on April 28.

The Orange Party added that candidates from counties where there is no stiff competition would be handed direct tickets.

At the same time, Jubilee secretariat head Raphael Tuju held a press briefing where he divulged to journalists that the submission of party nomination papers had been extended by five more days starting Monday next week.

Mr Tuju also confirmed that Jubilee's National Election Board had been constituted and will be chaired by one Mr Twaka Wanyonyi.

The former Rarieda MP expressed concerns over a dangerous hacker group linked to ODM Deputy chair Hassan Joho which is plotting to invade the electoral body's systems during the poll.
