The Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) today released the best police stations in the country during its annual IPOA Awards.
According to the results released by the police oversight body, Lumakanda Police station is the best police station in the country followed by Buruburu police station that was ranked second and the best in Nairobi County.
Parklands police station and Nandi police station emerged third and fourth respectively.
In the best community policing award, Mayoni Administration police camp emerged the best followed by Butere Police station, Athi River police station, and Nandi Hills Police station respectively.
Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Nkaissery who was the Chief guest at the event congratulated all winners and urged the service men and women to serve the country diligently.
"For those awardees here today congratulations, you should be true ambassadors of professional policing.
"My colleagues, we are paid to secure Kenyans. Let us ensure that we deliver this expectation professionally," Nkaissery stated.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett on his part congratulated IPOA and thanked them for their role in transforming the National Police Service.
"We value the value of IPOA in helping us to transform the NPS into a professional and people-centered Service," Boinett stated.
The awards were conducted today morning at the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi.
