Aspiring Kabete Member of Parliament (MP) Charles Chege Gitau, aka Fresh, who was allegedly abducted last week, has revealed he was attacked by armed men as he was driving towards his home in Mountain View estate, Nairobi.
In a statement recorded in Narok and forwarded to Kiambu Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Chege said the armed criminals ordered him out of his car and forced him into a second vehicle and drove off.
The politician claimed he was made to drink a heavy sedative that caused him to lose consciousness.
He added that he found himself in Narok town at the border of Narok and Bomet where he asked for directions to a hospital from an unidentified motorist who then dropped him at Narok District Hospital.
Doctors in the hospital recognised him and contacted police officers.

Mr Chege went missing last Friday and caused tension among his supporters after his car was discovered riddled with bullets near Gitaru Dam.
The MP aspirant was found in Narok on Sunday which led to allegations that he had staged his abduction.
Kabete OCPD Joseph Onyaga dismissed the claims and highlighted that they were still investigating the matter.
