The late Meshack Yebei, who was a key witness in the ICC, has been trending after the widow, Lilian Yebei, was attacked by thugs at her home in Langas, Eldoret. Lilian was rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret after sustaining deep machete cuts on her head.

Mr Yebei was a crucial witness in the now-dropped cases against Deputy President William Ruto and Journalist Joshua arap Sang.
