Police have launched a manhunt for one Samuel Kiboi, suspected to have stabbed his lover to death at Rwathe-ini Village in Othaya.
The horrific tale of love turned sour between the two is said to have began when the victim, 45-year-old old Priscilla Wairima gave birth to a child that the suspect claimed was not his.
The two had been lovers, living in the same block and working together at Nyayo Tea Zones.
The lady had three other children and their relationship had seemed to blossom until the arrival of the last child.
Speaking to Citizen TV, neighbors said that Kiboi had threatened to kill Wairima in the past for her alleged infidelity.
The threats, according to reports had become so bad that she was considering to move out of the area.
Her plans would not take place however, as the suspect apparently acted on his threats.
Wairima's body was found with deep cuts on her face and a rope tied around her neck.
The child who evidently had been the abject of the suspect's jealousy and anger was found locked in a laundry box.
Police have launched investigations into the matter, as confirmed by Nyeri South OCPD Joseph Mwika.
