Sabatia Member of Parliament Alfred Agoi, has said that he will take Madaga's only son, Macdonald Cheni, and give him the fatherly support that he ought to have received if his father was still alive.
The young boy who is a form one student at Demesi Secondary School, was solely depending on the father for his education until his untimely death along Waiyaki Way, in a hit and run incident.
Speaking at Madaga's funeral service, also attended by Senator George Khaniri in Vihiga, Agoi promised to cater for Cheni's education upto university.
While addressing mourners, the two leaders demanded the immediate resignation of Health Cabinet Secretary, James Macharia claiming that the CS had failed in his Ministry.
The legislators said that the docket should be given to a person capable of understanding health matters, and not a banker like Mr Macharia.
Khaniri also added that CORD Leader Raila Odinga, had promised to pursue the matter in court to ensure the parties that lead to Madaga's death paid for it.
Madaga reportedly spent 18 hours in an ambulance before being admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Kenyatta National Hospital, as there were no available beds and had also been denied admission at other city hospitals.
