Obama Allows School Boy's Suspected Bomb into White House

A 14-year-old muslim boy got an invitation from US President Barack Obama after he was arrested for allegedly inventing a 'bomb'.

Obama through a tweet on Wednesday asked the boy if he wanted his invention be used at the White House.

Ahmed Mohammed, son of Sudanese immigrants claimed that his failed attempt at impressing his teachers after inventing a clock, landed him at a juvenile detention centre where he was processed as a threat to security.

Despite the social media outrage on claims that the boy was profiled because of his religion, police insisted that they would have done the same thing if he was a white boy.

Ahmed sparked reactions from all fronts including Google, Facebook, NASA and the White House who all invited him to their offices.

White House Spokesman termed the incident as an opportunity to “search our own conscious for biases that might be there.”

"At least some of Ahmed's teachers failed him," he said, adding that "this has the potential to be a teachable moment".

Comments regarding the issue flooded all social media platforms with #IStandWithAhmed trending from Monday questioning the motive of teachers and the police.

Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It's what makes America great.
