PHOTOS: Kenya Rugby 7s Team Arrives in Style

The victorious national rugby sevens team on Tuesday afternoon arrived to a pompous reception at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

Aboard a Qatar Airways plane, the Shujaa touched down at around 2.20pm and were received by Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario, Kenya Airways CEO Mbuvi Ngunze and Kenya Rugby Union Chair Richard Omwela among other dignitaries.

Amid intense anxiety, Captain Andrew Amonde finally showed up with the coveted trophy as the crowd which turned up to welcome them cheered uncontrollably.

Top-of-the-range vehicles including limousines chauffeured the Singapore circuit champions to the Ole Sereni Hotel along Mombasa Road where the team's sponsor, Kenya Airways, organised a luncheon.
