NTV news anchor Larry Madowo has unveiled the legal team that will be representing him in a defamation case against blogger Cyprian Nyakundi.
Through his Facebook timeline, Madowo announced that he would be represented by top lawyer Donald Kipkorir together with his entity - KTK law firm.
“One of Kenya's finest lawyers Donald Kipkorir and his esteemed firm KTK Advocates represent me in this frivolous suit by an infamous blogger,” he posted.
Kipkorir is largely known as one of the best lawyers and leaders having several years of experience in the industry.
The strong football supporter was hailed for his leadership skills after he led the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Electoral Board, which conducted nationwide Sub-Branches and Presidential Elections that were concluded on Wednesday afternoon.
On the other hand Nyakundi hired a 'beginner' lawyer, Ann Wambui, linked to Nderu Ngaruni & Co. Advocates, to represent him in the case against Madowo.
Blogger Nyakundi sued the Trend show host, for allegedly defaming him following an article Madowo published claiming that he (Nyakundi) was soliciting funds from companies to tarnish competitors names.
Nyakundi had given the anchor an ultimatum of seven days to apologize failure to which he would file a case in court. In an interesting twist, Madowo welcomed the threats stating that he was not afraid of facing the blogger in court.
