A popular restaurant in the coastal region was Sunday razed down by a huge fire that broke out near the Malindi Law Courts, destroying property of unknown value.
Sailfish Club was consumed in the huge inferno said to have originated from the restaurant before spreading to neighbouring buildings.
The fire, however, did not spread to the law courts but two posh homes were burnt down.
Malindi firefighters in collaboration with the Kenya Red Cross Society managed to extinguish the fire preventing further damage.
According to reports, one person with deep cut wounds was rushed to Malindi Sub-county Hospital.
