Pilot Lands Chopper on Kisumu-Usenge Highway After Losing Direction

It was a frightful spectacle in Bondo Town on Saturday when a pilot unexpectedly landed a chopper on the busy Kisumu-Usenge highway.

The pilot reportedly lost directions and made an emergency landing on the road to interestingly ask for directions.

The incident, which happened near Pride Hotel, caused panic as locals together with motorists stopped in shock.

Witnesses took photos of the helicopter and shared widely on social media.

"Vehicles had to stop on both sides of the highway until the chopper, which only has the pilot on board, took off. I had to stop abruptly as I saw the plane fly lower than usual. Suddenly it landed on the tarmac attracting a large crowd," a motorist identified as Phillip Okello told the Nation.

He further divulged that the pilot flew away after a brief chat with onlookers.

At the same time, other reports indicated that the pilot had stopped to greet his mother who was at a meeting in Pride Hotel.
