Police have launched a manhunt for a notorious car-breaking gang operating in Nairobi, Mombasa and Machakos County after they were caught on a security camera robbing a motorist in South B.
The gang is said to be following motorists before breaking into their cars and robbing them of their valuables.
The police further stated that they had identified the syndicate and that they were using hired vehicles to commit the crimes before returning the vehicles to their respective owners.
In an investigative story aired by NTV, the gang was caught red-handed conducting their operations.
One of the gangsters who was identified as Hussein Kamau was filmed robbing an unsuspecting motorist who had parked his car at a parking lot.
Hussein is also said to be the gang's ringleader and the one who is in charge of breaking into cars.
The gang is said to be out on bond after they were arrested a year ago in Mombasa but later released before they moved their operations to Nairobi and Machakos County
