Prominent Individuals Uhuru Has Given Jobs

President Uhuru Kenyatta has made appointments of new individuals to head various State Corporations including former politicians.

Through a notice published on the Kenya Gazette, the President picked the appointees to chair boards of parastatals bringing back former government officials among other known persons.

Politician Franklin Bett who recently vied in the preliminaries of Kericho Senatorial seat, received a major reward after he was appointed Chairperson of the Board of Agricultural Finance Corporation for a period of three years.

Equity Bank CEO James Mwangi has also been included in the list, chosen to head the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board, a position he will hold until 2018.

Former Orange Democratic Movement legislator who represented Konoin constituency, Julius Kones, has been charged with the responsibility of chairing the National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation.

Lawyer Katwa Kigen who represents journalist Joshua Sang at the International Criminal Court, will now be the boss at the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority Board.

The Nyayo Tea Zones Development Board will be led by former Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere.

Other appointees to major boards include; Mohamud Mohammed Ali (National Hospital Insurance Fund), Abdirahim Abdi (Insurance Regulatory Authority), Rose Nkonge (Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Board), Silas Muriuki (Local Authorities Provident Fund) and Francis Ndung'u (Kenya School of Government).

The government has also made changes bringing in Christopher Aubrey to chair Kenya Film Commission, Anne Wangari Kirima (Kenya Investment Authority), Isaac Kalua (Kenya Water Towers Agency), Edward Karani (Kenya National Shipping Line) and Reuben Mutiso (Konza Technopolis Development Authority).
