Radio Personality Caroline Mutoko Opines on ODM and Jubilee Party Nominations

Popular radio personality Caroline Mutoko reacted to the recently concluded party nominations by lauding some of the winners and bashing the losers.

Ms. Mutoko started by delving into the Busia County Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) primaries where incumbent governor Sospeter Ojaamong locked horns with Funyula Member of Parliament Paul Otuoma.

“Sospeter, there’s no way in the world we are cheering what you did but man!that was a coup. To take a credible newspaper and to change the front page...I am ok with it because it was a bloodless coup,” she stated.

Referring to the election period as the ‘silly season’, she stated that this would be a season when politicians would be remembered for taking everything to a higher level of madness.

The party nominations in both Jubilee Party and ODM were marred by all sorts of drama including; politicians changing the front page of newspapers, some allegedly staging their own kidnapping while others were rigged out at the last minute.

Mutoko revealed that as much some of their (politicians) actions were not acceptable in the eyes of many, it showed their creativity levels.

Ikinu Member of County Assembly (MCA) aspirant Kennedy Kinyanjui Kabaka was reported missing and his car was found vandalised but he was later found.

His opponents claimed the whole incident was stage-managed to get sympathy votes.

The nominations period saw all sorts of creativity from the politicians ranging from packaging flour and bread in their names to putting their photos on condoms.

The former KISS 100 radio presenter emphasised the need to guard all printing houses to avoid circulation of leaflets that may cause tension ahead of the elections.
