Raila Endorses Mohammed Ali During Mathare Rally

Former KTN journalist Mohammed Ali on Friday received a major boost following a rare endorsement by National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Raila Odinga.

Speaking at Masinde Muliro Grounds, in Mathare estate, Mr Odinga paraded the popular investigative journalist describing him as a man with an agenda of change for the people of Nyali, where he is set to vie for the parliamentary seat.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader stated that he shared Ali’s aspirations for a revolution, to re-evolve political, economic and social justice in the country.

Odinga added that the seat the journalist was seeking presented him with an opportunity for change by offering "legislation and policies that make human sense" in the National Assembly.

''Revolution is not about shootouts...and that is what I and Mohammed Ali stands for,'' stated Raila.

Ali, in turn, endorsed his party leader stating that he was best suited to fly NASA’s presidential flag and trounce the Jubilee government.

Popularly known for his daring award-winning investigative pieces, Ali resigned from his lucrative position at KTN early this year and declared that he was joining the Nyali parliamentary race.

He faces an uphill task as he goes head to head with other aspirants including a Mr Said Saleem, said to be Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho’s relative, and  John Mcharo, a former Deputy Mayor.
