Raila Reacts to Moses Kuria's Assassination Remarks

CORD leader Raila Odinga has “unconditionally” forgiven Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria for his assassination remarks.

Speaking during the requiem mass of the late Ngala Mwendwa at AIC Milimani on Friday, the Opposition leader said the legislator did not mean his words.

"Kuria played to his supporters. He was overwhelmed by a crowd and found himself uttering things he did not intend to. I am sure he did not mean it," Mr Odinga was quoted by the Star.

He further added that Mr Kuria could not utter such words in public if he indeed wanted to kill him.

Mr Kuria sparked fresh controversy on Sunday while addressing a gathering at Kasarani where he stated that Odinga was a "threat to the nation" and should not be allowed to trouble the country forever. Kuria went further to call for the 'assassination' of the former Prime Minister.
