Residents of Chacharani area in Nyamira County, were on Monday left dismayed by a horrific killing in which mutilated female body parts were scattered at a public place with some organs missing.
The unknown killers had dumped the chest, intestines and a leg in the area.
Confirming the incident, area police boss Rico Ngare said that the killers may have committed the atrocious act at a different location before dumping the body parts in the area.
“Other than the body parts, there was also a panty and bra that were found in the area,” said Ngare.
The Nyamira police boss asked the public to assist with any information concerning the incident in order to identify the victim.
The body parts were taken to the Nyamira General Hospital mortuary for further examination .
This came as the latest bizarre killing as another mutilated female body was discovered in Maraba Estate, Kakamega this year in July. The woman's body had several parts missing when it was located.
Kakamega OCPD Richard Ng’etich said that the body was found without private parts, ears, eyes and tongue.
Residents speculated that the murder could have been a ritual killing.
