Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has announced the revival of the Sonko Rescue team after he disbanded its operations in September.
Sonko said that the team would continue with the services it offered in Nairobi County due to public demand. He stated that the rescue team would continue to offer Free Hearse Services and Wedding Limo Services to help Nairobi residents.
On the other hand, the Senator pointed out that the County Government led by Governor Evans Kidero, would continue to deliver Ambulance and Fire Engine services.
Sonko disbanded the initiative, which had been hailed by a section of city residents, during his father's burial and handed over the resources to Kidero for the County Government services.

The team was an initiative started by the flamboyant Senator in a bid to offer free and diverse services to various people in need.
The Sonko Rescue Team, however, was not received well by Governor Kidero who argued that the move undermined his administration.
