TNA Senator Joy Gwendo Suspended From Party

Nominated Senator Joy Gwendo has been suspended by her party, The National Alliance (TNA) over gross misconduct.

Gwendo has also been de-whipped from all Senate committees.

The disciplinary committee has recomended to The National Oversight Board that the senator be expelled from the party.

She is accused of disrespecting the party and supporting the opposition side.

She was among eight members summoned by the party's disciplinary committee over alleged misconduct.

They included Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, nominated senator Joy Adhiambo Gwendo and Nyeri Women Rep Priscilla Nyokabi.

Also summoned were four MCAs from Nakuru – Florence Njoroge, Stephen Kihara, Ngware Nganga and Francis Njoroge.
