VIDEO: Coca-Cola to Remove Kissing Scene in TV Advert

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), on Wednesday announced that a Coca Cola TV advertisement would be edited to remove a kissing scene which it termed offensive.

Chief Executive Officer Ezekiel Mutua, announced that KFCB and the management of Coca Cola in Central, East & West Africa held a discussion over the promotion and agreed that the advert would be edited effective Wednesday night.

“The advert will be edited and, effective tonight Wednesday 13th April 2016, there will be a new version without the offensive kissing scenes that violate family values,” Mutua said.

The Coca Cola "Taste the Feeling" campaign which was unveiled in January was Coke's first new global campaign in seven years.

Speaking at a media event in Paris, Coke's Marketing Officer Marcos de Quinto said that “Taste the Feeling” would bring to life the idea that drinking Coca-Cola is a simple pleasure that makes everyday moments more special.
