VIDEO: Did Governor Munya Ignore CS Wamalwa's Handshake?

A video circulating on social media from the just concluded Annual Devolution Conference in Meru has left many wondering whether area Governor Peter Munya  turned down a handshake from Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.

In the clip, Wamalwa grabs a seat next to Munya and stretches his arm to greet the Governor who at the same time turns on the other side to have a talk with CORD leader Raila Odinga, leaving Wamalwa's hand suspended.

The Chairman of COG seemingly fails to notice the Minister's hand or he might have ignored him after all, as he keenly starts a conversation with Odinga.

Wamalwa quickly notices that Munya is engaged elsewhere then retracts his hand before turning to his counterpart, Devolution CS Mwangi Kiunjuri who also takes note of the awkward moment.

This happened during the closing ceremony of the three-day conference in which President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy William Ruto were conspicuously missing.

The Head of State was, however, represented by Kiunjuri who opened the meeting on his behalf with Ruto who was expected to close the event sending Wamalwa to read his speech.

During the start of the meeting on Wednesday, Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero confused county bosses after making a flashy arrival with some mistaking his entourage for that of Namibian Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa, who was set to grace the event.
