VIDEO: Uhuru Amazes Kenya Sevens With His Rugby Skills

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday hosted the Kenya Sevens Team at State House following their win at the eighth leg of the HSBC World Series in Singapore where Shujaa scooped the main cup for the first time in history.

Kenyatta congratulated the players for their exemplary performance rewarding them with a Sh10 Million token besides directing the Rugby union and sponsors Kenya Airways to make sure that the players had all their dues settled.

President Kenyatta who was himself a Rugby player back in the day, participated in a dummy line out with the Shujaas after being requested by the Team's head coach Benjamin Ayimba.

Captain Andrew Amonde and Willy Ambaka lifted him up for the line out while Vice Captain Collins Injera threw the ball which Uhuru successfully plucked off the air and offloaded to Hassan Wario, the Sports, Arts and Culture Cabinet Secretary amid a thunderous applause.

Kenya will feature for the first time at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August.
