Waiter Tricked, Raped by Taxi Men

A waiter in Embu County is nursing serious injuries after she was raped by two men,  for the better part of Thursday night, after leaving from her work place.

According to Kibugu Area Police boss Karisa Kadzomba, the 31-year-old woman hired a taxi to take her home but upon reaching a junction, the car diverted to a different route.

The taxi driver and a man who posed as a passenger, allegedly forced her to sleep with them in turns, while threatening to kill her if she attempted to scream.

The two later promised to give her money and shop for her before dropping her home in an attempt to please her.

She was reportedly taken home and the two resorted to rest at her house, with the driver's accomplice leaving his counterpat sleeping in their victim's residence.

The victim managed to escape and took a motor cycle to the nearest Police post where she reported the crime. The driver was arrested and charged at Manyatta Police Station.

Police boss Kadzomba cautioned women from boarding taxis operated by persons they were not familiar with.
