Watch MP Sakaja Rap at Groove Nominations

The National Alliance party Chairman Johnson Sakaja lit up the Kenya National Theatre on Tuesday night when he displayed his rapping skills during the 11th Annual Groove Awards Nominations.

Sakaja was called up to unveil the nominees for best Hip Hop song of the year when he delivered an impromptu freestyle rap to much applause from the crowd.

It became clear that the Nominated Member of Parliament's rapping skills had not faded even after joining politics, as he was part of a gospel trio, Mission Driven, in which he also played guitar.

The Nairobi gubernatorial seat aspirant has been at the forefront in supporting musicians, and is currently working on a deal with telecommunications company Safaricom that will see musicians earn better royalties from Skiza Tunes.
