World Bank Applauds Kenya For Record Time in Projects Implementation

World Bank has commended the Kenyan government for record time in implementing World Bank funded multi-billion projects.

The government has accelerated pace in sponsored mega projects indicated by a report released by the Bank.

27 Projects within different sectors have been boosted with Sh434 Billion.

18 Projects, specifically energy, water, transport, and agriculture with a commitment of Sh 287.8 Million are performing to the satisfaction of the Bank.

World Bank notes that pace in projects implementation has slightly improved compared to 2014. 

The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport rehabilitation after a huge fire and the repair of the 384km Northern Corridor between Mombasa and Nairobi are examples of projects completed on time.

World Bank noted that the development loans extended to Kenya doubled compared to the loans given in the past 5 years.
