Youth in Ghana Express Support for Raila

A video doing rounds on social media of a team in Ghana claiming to support CORD leader Raila Odinga has sparked varied reactions.

The video features Evans Jessy, the spokesman of the group dubbed 'ODM Wenchi Ghana' which expresses support for Odinga in the upcoming August 8 elections.

Mr Jessy says they decided to start a movement in their country to back Odinga's presidential bid claiming that he is their in-law.

“He is an in-law of this land. Our royal Professor Nana Apiah is married to the cousin of his excellency Raila Odinga,” he states.

This, according to the spokesman, motivated youth to create a movement to prove their solidarity in what the CORD leader has been championing in Kenya.

The video elicited mixed reactions with a majority expressing their delight that the former Prime Minister enjoyed massive support from outside the country.

Others, however, interestingly alleged that the video was stage-managed with some claiming that the spokesman was a Kenyan who they could identify.
