A Deputy OSC in Kericho County yesterday, succumbed to injuries after being hit by a motorist.
The Senior Officer, who was serving in his second month in the area, was crossing the road before a speeding boda-boda guy hit him.
The Officer was rushed to Siloam Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Speaking during a press briefing at the hospital, County Police Commander Rose Muchuma said that the motorist was arrested and is set to be arraigned in court.
Hours after Daudi Hirey's death, Former Minister Franklin Bett, Kericho West Sub-County Commissioner Jamleck Bumba and two OCPDs were also present at the hospital to address the media.
Officer Hirey was coming from issuing the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers to invigilators before he was knocked down at around 7:30am on Thursday morning.
