City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi revealed that politician Wavinya Ndeti paid him with a goat as part of his legal fees.
In a tweet to Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, the Senior Counsel informed the county boss who had inquired where Wavinya had obtained the money to pay the lawyer on their payment agreement.
"@DrAlfredMutua...Hon Wavinya brought that goat as my fees...no third party is paying me millions on her behalf...relax Governor...@Wavinya_Ndeti @DonaldBKipkorir," the lawyer wrote.
Lawyer Donald B. Kipkorir confirmed the agreement stating: "I hereby confirm that Her Excellency Wavinya Ndeti negotiated her legal fees to the equivalent one goat which she delivered."

During a radio interview, Dr Mutua had asked Wavinya to reveal where she had obtained the money to pay her legal fees to the lawyer who is alleged to charge exorbitant prices for representation.
"Wavinya hana pesa lakini utamuona kortini yuko na lawyers wengine ambao kabla waangalie faili lazima walipwe milioni ishirini na tano (Wavinya doesn't have money but you will see her in court with lawyers who ask for Ksh25 million before looking at your file)," the Machakos Governor remarked during his interview.
"Nani anampa pesa za kuweza kwenda mahakamani? Ni nani anampa pesa? Nataka kujua (Who is giving her money to enable her to go to the court? Who is giving her the money? I want to know)," he added.
Mutua further alleged that the former Kathiani lawmaker had gone bankrupt over the last few years and she owed him close to Ksh4 million drawn from previous court defeats.
"Ndeti is bankrupt and actually has close to Ksh10 million in unpaid debts owed to me and the IEBC. She has been paying me in bits and still has a pending Ksh4 million debt," the governor revealed.

"Her houses and pieces of land have been confiscated by banks and debtors because of her inability to pay back loans and so on," the Maendeleo Chapchap party leader added.
