Betty Kyallo Narrates Being Dragged Under Moving Matatu

Celebrated  K24 TV anchor Betty Kyallo has revealed excruciating details about how she survived a harrowing matatu accident to become one of the top anchors of our time.

Taking to social media, Kyallo explained that she was trapped underneath a moving matatu after she was knocked down while crossing the road near Railways Train Station.

Responding to a fan who inquired about her revealing neck scar, the anchor further explained that the accident left her without half of her facial skin and most of that of her neck was missing.

When I was in form three back in 2005...I was crossing the road...then this matatu comes and hits me, I go under it and it is still moving.

The whole of the left part got scrapped off by the lami (Tarmac)...I am 17 years and my dreams to become a news anchor are shuttered,” she narrated.

She further explained that she spent more than two months in the hospital where she underwent seven surgeries to try rectify her situation.

So I stayed in hospital for two months because I had to go through seven surgeries...I lost four ribs...my lungs collapsed,” she continued.

She explained that she struggled with the situation for more than four months mostly from embarrassment where the public often pitied her state.

Hope was restored to her one day while in the shower when she discovered that some of her skin was slowly growing back.

Her scar on her neck, however, remained since a hook underneath the vehicle left a serious damage that is visible to date.
