Vioja Mahakamani Judge Jamal Rashid Stabbed to Death

Kenya actor Jamal Nassul Rashid who was the judge in KBC TV series Vioja Mahakamani was on Tuesday night stabbed to death in an apparent affair that turned tragic.

According to reports, Jamal was stabbed by his girlfriend Grace Kanamu Namulo, 40, using a kitchen knife at the Arks Hotel at 6:15 PM.

The actor was rushed to Shalom Hospital for emergency treatment where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A police report filed a good Samaritan read, "It was reported that Jamal Nassul Gaddafi (39), was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namulo (40). She picked a knife and stabbed him."

Reports indicate that the two left Arks Hotel and headed to a butchery allegedly owned by Jamal where their argument got heated.

It is then that Kanamu drove a long knife through Jamal's chest who feel to the ground. In shock, Kanamu screamed attracting attention from passers-by.

On learning of the incident, angry residents threatened to lynch her.

“They (party-goers) wanted to lynch her, but security guards at the hotel managed to whisk her to safety. The suspect was locked in a room in the hotel before police from Mlolongo post were alerted,” Musyi FM journalist Douglas Mutiso, who was privy to incident narrated.

Jamal's elder brother and wife arrived at the scene and rushed the actor who was bleeding profusely to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Kanamu was arrested when police arrived and taken to Mavoko Police Station where she recorded her statement.

Prior to the tragic incident, the two were neighbours in Syokimau area.

They were both divorced and decided to start something together.

Jamal who featured as Baba Junior in a KTN series called Junior also made guest appearances in  NTV’s “Auntie Boss” among other film productions.
