Moses Kuria Needs Alcohol Rehab - Kiambu Woman Rep Gathoni wa Muchomba

Gatundu Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has come under fire from Kiambu County Woman Representative Gathoni wa Muchomba after he made comments about President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.

She was speaking to her constituents when she made the claim that Kuria was an alcoholic who needed help.

She proceeded to invite the lawmaker to her Mama Care Rehabilitation Centre for treatment.

“I'm helping drunkards in Kiambu and am calling upon Hon Moses Kuria who recently addressed the President of the Republic of Kenya while visibly drunk to apologise to the nation,” she stated.

Gathoni added, “I also call upon him to come to our centre where our doctors will treat him for seven days so that he can regain his senses."

Kuria has been under pressure after New Year eve celebrations at Thika Stadium, where he suggested that although the region supported President Uhuru Kenyatta, it had not received much development.

“We have been rendered into voting machines but development is channelled elsewhere; we must shelve that nonsense.

“I want to tell the President to launch water, new roads, and electrification projects. We were with him in Kisumu where he launched new roads but coming to Kiambu, he only issued certificates to rehabilitated alcoholics,” proclaimed the MP.

Days after the sentiments, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, sent Kuria’s brother John Ngigi, who was working as a Chief Officer, home.

He hit back at the county boss stating, “Introducing politics in such affairs is very unfair, but that is the kind of governor that we have in our county, unfortunately.”
