President Uhuru Reshuffles Cabinet

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday made changes to his cabinet.

According to Executive Order No.3 of 2019, whose authenticity was confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke by State House Spokesperson, Kanze Dena, the president made the following changes:

Former KNEC Chairman George Magoha was nominated as Education CS while Amina Mohamed was moved to the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage.

Wildlife PS Dr Margaret Mwakima,  was moved to the State Department of East African Community Affairs (EAC).

As per the changes, EAC and Northern corridor PS Dr Susan Koech was reassigned the Wildlife Department.

Environment PS Ali Noor Ismail was transferred to the Cooperatives docket while his Health counterpart, Peter Kiplagat was moved to the Labour docket.

Labour PS Dr Ibrahim M. Mohamed, was transferred to the State Department of Environment & Forestry.

President Uhuru also dropped Rashid Echesa as Sports CS and Fatuma Hirsi as Broadcasting and Telecommunications PS. 

State House was reported to be mooting a Cabinet reshuffle in light of the corruption allegations marring Uhuru's appointees.
