An 11-year-old girl, only identified as Jubedah, who miraculously managed to escape her kidnapper's den, gave a chilling narration of her ordeal at the hands of her tormentors.
Speaking to Capital News, Jubedah claimed to have been snatched alongside her best friend Deborah,7, on August 7, 2018.
"We were just playing across the road from where Deborah's mum - Irene, was selling bags outside a popular eatery located along Moi Avenue, when we suddenly found ourselves in a white van," she revealed.
Although Jubedah couldn't recall the exact location, she could make out a few structures and realized that they were in Githurai 44, a populous estate off the Thika Superhighway.
Upon arrival at the undisclosed compound, Jubedah claimed to have seen blood pools and stains all over the room where she was held.
She then revealed that she was instructed to bathe and have a change of clothes and that it was at this point that she realized that something wasn't right, as the drugs used during the abduction wore off.
“There were no other children in the house, the woman who took us there was thanked. I also saw her being given money,” she recalled.
As her abductor was being escorted out of the compound, Jubedah followed them out while concealing herself with any structure she could find until she was well clear of the house.
The 11-year-old then reportedly ran and walked for several hours until she arrived at the Central Business District where she was reunited with her best friend/s mum.
Deborah was still filed as missing by the time of publishing as police officers continue to try and piece together enough information from her story to find the location where she was held.
According to the police, some of the victims are subjected to unspeakable acts like child pornography, organ harvesting, and sorcerers’ activities.
“We are aware of these cases. We will soon nab those involved in the inhumane business,” a detective, based at Central Police Station, who preferred anonymity told Capital FM News.
Shockingly, investigations have since revealed that the cartel behind the abductions offer Ksh 100,000 for every girl delivered, while boys, mostly aged below 12 years are exchanged at a fee of Ksh 70,000.
