Victor Muyakane, a journalist with KBC is set to join the international media house BBC.
Sources told Kenyans.co.ke that Muyakane will join the station as a Broadcast Journalist and will be working alongside former KTN reporter Francis Ontomwa.
The two are said to be working on a yet-to-be-launched program that is a partnership between BBC and KTN.
Reports indicate that the two are undergoing the induction process before undergoing training.
The new show said to be a news/current affairs program is set to start in June.
Ontomwa announced on Saturday that he had exited the Standard Media Group after working there for six years.
"New beginnings loading BBC Africa with colleagues from BBC Somali,” he posted.
Muyakane made headlines when he bravely rescued a disabled boy who was unable to move when bees attacked protesters and police who had camped outside the Supreme Court in September, 2018.
This saw him recognized by among others, the Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua who awarded the journalist for his heroic actions.
He was the guy who was attacked by bees while helping a disabled guy in the streets.
Ontomwa holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics and is an alumnus of the Masinde Muliro University.
In 2013, he was named KTN's best bureau reporter in three successive quarters.
