Five Die in Horrific Multiple Car Crash in Nairobi

Five people died and several others sustained serious injuries in a grisly accident that happened on Tuesday, October 2, at 8 p.m.

The evening accident involving three vehicles took place at Kamulu area along Kangundo road.

A Toyota Probox collided head-on with a bus belonging to the Kenya Bus Services (KBS) which in turn hit a pickup truck.

It is said that occupants of the Probox were traveling to Joska in Kangundo from Ruai.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Nairobi County police boss Philip Ndolo confirmed that those injured were rushed to Mama Lucy hospital while the five bodies were taken to City Mortuary.

"Several other passengers were injured and referred to Mama Lucy hospital," he stated.

Earlier on September 30, 2019, four Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers were  killed in a grisly road accident.

Confirming the incident, Buuri OCPD Joseph Asugo stated that the officers were travelling on the Meru-Isiolo Highway when they were involved in the road crash.

Asugo stated that the driver of the vehicle lost control before colliding head-on with a private car at Matunda area.

The officers reportedly died on the spot and their bodies moved to Kiirua Mission Hospital mortuary.

The occupants of the other vehicle, a man his wife and two children, sustained injuries.

They were rushed to Kiirua Mission Hospital for emergency treatment.
