Last Moments of Star Journalist Found Dead in Officer's House

On Thursday, November 21, a newspaper journalist working with The Star was found dead inside a police officer's house.

Eric Oloo, the publication's Siaya correspondent, had suffered deep stab wounds on his forehead, mid-section and on the back of his head.

A report by the Daily Nation on Friday traced the last moments of the victim in his supposed lover's home on the night of Wednesday, November 20.

A witness who spoke to the publication narrated that Ugunja Deputy OCS, Sabina Kerubo, arrived at around 9 p.m. at her home, with a man believed to be her lover.

At the time, Oloo is reported to have been sleeping in the bedroom.

The officer and her male companion reportedly stayed in the house for a while before leaving and later returning at midnight with a third party, suspected to be the man's brother.

It is at this point that the two brothers apparently pulled Oloo out of bed and started beating him up.

The officer, who was reportedly also in the company of her teenage daughter and house help, tried to stop the two, with no success.

The two brothers allegedly took the journalist outside the house and continued beating him before they returned him inside and wiped off the blood from the body and the floor.

On Thursday, November 21, Kerubo and her supposed boyfriend were arrested in connection with his death.
