Uhuru Splashes Ksh4M in Secretive Night Meeting - Kimani Ngunjiri

President Uhuru Kenyatta allegedly held a meeting with leaders and elders from the Kikuyu community at the Gicheha Farm, Nakuru on the night of Tuesday, January 14.

Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri revealed that the head of state met 400 delegates from the Mount Kenya region in a bid to address the growing rift in the region's leadership.

The legislator alleged that at the end of the meeting, each of the leaders in attendance was given Ksh10,000.

"Uhuru held a meeting yesternight, with 400 Kikuyu leaders. I hear he told them that he is working to create a position for them in government through the BBI," Ngunjiri stated.

"Each of the leaders left the meeting with Ksh10,000 ," he added.

While addressing the media earlier, Ngunjiri alleged that the commander in chief had a hidden agenda in the push for the implementation of the Building Bridges Initiatives (BBI).

He challenged the president to publicly make clear whether he had intentions of retaining power post-2022 insinuating that Uhuru was using the BBI as a vehicle to achieve secure power after his retirement as president.

"You are saying that there is a seat for the Kikuyu within the BBI, which seat? If you want a seat, just say it. And I am suspecting it is true you want the seat," Ngunjiri pronounced.

"Because there is no day you have stated you want a seat. Moi endorsed you, you did not admit wanting it. In 2013 you said you would leave it to Mudavadi, we pushed for your election.

"In 2017 you said you were tired and did not want to lead anymore. Ruto went around the country campaigning and got you reelected," he alleged.

The Jubilee legislator expressed his disappointment with the party leader, stating that he would not be bought at any price while advising his Jubilee peers to follow his lead.
