The CS warned Kenyans who were using social media to peddle fake news on coronavirus.

"We have noted with serious concern, food and nutrition information going round on social media on the healing effects of certain foods and drinks.

"This is not the time to confuse our people and engage in publicity theatrics. While we encourage acts of charity, we advise Kenyans to get factual public information from credible sources such as professional healthcare providers, Ministry of Health and World Health Organisation websites.

"I want to emphasize the Importance of Nutrition and physical activity to boost our immunity to overcome the disease better and speed up recovery of illnesses," he stated.
