Kiss FM's Nick Ndeda Quits Radio Africa

Kiss FM radio presenter Nick Ndeda has called it quits after a 9-year stint at the Radio Africa Group.

Ndeda, who has been hosting an evening show at the station, made the announcement on Thursday 28, through his social media accounts

"I met the coolest people, made friends, family and memories. That is what life and its seasons are about. Thanks to everyone who always tuned in. Your energy and time was never taken for granted. So, no sadness, no tears, only excitement because now it means we are about to start a new experience, make new friends, family and memories onwards,’’ he said in a farewell message.

Prior to his two-year stint at Kiss, the media personality worked at X FM for seven years which is also owned by the Radio Africa group. 

At X, he hosted a morning show where he combined great music with soft conversations. He also gave traffic updates and many tuned in to listen since this information was not available online back in the day. The station, however, closed in early 2019.

The presenter started his media career in 2007 at Homeboyz Radio. He was a stand-in breakfast show host as well as a daily youth empowerment host.

He, later on, moved to Hot 96 in 2010 where he doubled in as a Deputy Programmes Controller and as a radio host.

Away from the microphone, Nick is an award-winning actor and has played different roles in over 50 different plays.

He has played lead roles in MTV series Shuga, Higher Learning which played on NTV and the acclaimed show 18 Hours.

The actor has had supporting roles in Maisha Magic East show ‘Selina’ and South Africa’s MNet’s show Jacob's Cross.

Nick is the holder of various thespian awards, various radio and TV hosting medals and also medals in playwriting.

During the Kalasha Awards 2020, Nick won the Best TV Host for The Great Kenyan Bake Off which he hosts on KTN.

Currently, Nick is a youtuber and might follow the footsteps of Caroline Mutoko and Betty Kyalo. The two personalities quit their jobs to focus on their YouTube careers.
