New details have emerged following the murder of a civil servant, her eight-year-old son and her boyfriend in Jogoo Road Government Quarters buildings, Nairobi County on Tuesday, February 23.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations who visited the scene indicated that they are questioning three individuals who will help in unraveling the murder of the three.

In a statement, the detectives indicated that the bodies of Charity Cheboi and her son were found in the bedroom with each holding a rosary. Cheboi had bruises on her face while her son had blood coming from the mouth.

“Both the woman and her 8-year old son had vomited on the bed. They lay side by side,” the detectives stated.

The man, who is believed to be a college-going student, was found in the bathroom with a jiko next to him.

His hands and legs had been tied with electric cables. His body, however, did not have any visible injuries but his clothes had drops of blood.

Cheboi and her son's body had decomposed while that of the man was still fresh.

Neighbours told detectives that Cheboi and her son were last seen on Sunday, February 21, when they were buying groceries, while the man had bought charcoal on Monday.

The scene indicated that there was a sign of struggle before the trio breathed their last.

"The house was in a mess with clothes, shoes and bedding strewn all over the floor, indicating that a struggle must have ensued, before the victims met their painful deaths," reads a statement by DCI.

The bodies were moved to Chiromo Funeral home awaiting autopsy.
