Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) officers raided the house of 2013 Presidential aspirant Jaffer Isaak Sora on Wednesday, June 16.

Isaak's lawyer, Cliff Ombeta, claimed that the police have been harassing the family prior to raiding his Nairobi home.

Isaak had threatened the lives of police and public servants in a video he recorded in May 2021.

Reports alleged that the ATPU officers stormed into the ex-Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) house, confiscated his wife's passports and children's passport photos.

"At least, have the decency of returning the kids' laptops and books," Ombeta urged.

He, however, declined to speak on the matter when Kenyans.co.ke reached out to him.

A police officer privy to the matter also declined to comment on the alleged raid. The officer in May 2021 told Kenyans.co.ke that Isaak was in a hideout in Kenya and not in London as he (Isaak) alleged.

The detective added that the ex-KDF officer risked being listed as a criminal (terrorist). The suspect had threatened revenge on judges, magistrates, police and journalists who he accused of torturing and frustrating him. Isaak claimed that he had sought asylum in London, UK.

The army man has been at loggerheads with the police force since he was arrested allegedly transporting 445 kilograms of bhang worth Ksh13 million on Tuesday night, June 18, 2019.

He was released on Ksh3 million bond but was reported to have declined numerous summons issued by the police thereafter.

"I am a soldier and a soldier never gives up. I will take you down one by one. Even if I die, I will die with all of you. Those detectives that arrested and tortured me, the judges who frustrated me and those who wrote about me, prepare for your bullets.

"To my lovely wife, I am sorry. You sacrificed your life and sold your property to support me in my campaigns- it is over - God will take care of you. To my children - I am sorry- my life was taken away. I have thought of committing suicide in the last two years," Isaak lamented.
