Ksh320K DPP Jobs: How to Check Shortlisted Candidates

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) has announced shortlisted candidates for the various positions advertised in 2021.

In a notice dated Tuesday, March 29, the ODPP published names of shortlisted applicants for eight different positions including chief internal auditors, chief accountants, senior assistant directors of Records Management, Chief Finance Officers and Senior Assistant Directors of Administration. 

Others include senior Assistant Directors of Supply Chain management, senior assistant directors of public prosecution and Deputy Directors of Public Prosecution.

In May 2021, the ODPP had advertised the vacancies with the monthly salary rising as high as Ksh320,000 for the senior roles. 

According to the State Prosecutor's office, 94 candidates were selected out of 500 applicants. 

The most sought-after position, senior Assistant Directors of Administration, received a total of 116 applicants, with the selection panels narrowing down to only nine candidates. 

Candidates selected for this role stand to earn a monthly salary of between Ksh154,654 and Ksh205,000. 

 How to check

In the statement, the ODPP disclosed that shortlisted candidates can confirm their names by visiting odpp.go.ke or alternatively log on to mygov.go.ke.

The ODPP also advised applicants to visit the ODPP Office Notice Boards at Nairobi Headquarters or its county offices to ascertain shortlisted candidates, slated times for interviews as well as the reqiuirement for those who will be appearing before the panel.

Interviews for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted from Monday, April 11, to Wednesday, April 20, at the ODPP Prosecution Training Institute based in Loresho.

Members of the public were also advised to present information on the suitability of the shortlisted candidates before Friday, April 8. 

The notice posted in May 2021, revealed that Deputy Directors of Public Prosecution had the highest basic salary scale amounting to Ksh321,453.

Out of four slots advertised, close to twenty candidates applied and only ten were shortlisted to proceed to the interview stage.
