Fake Gynaecologist Mugo wa Wairimu has been arrested.
Mugo who is accused of sedating and raping female patients at his illegal clinics in Githurai and Zimmerman, confirmed through his facebook account that he was under the Limuru Police custody.
Reports indicate that the rogue 'doctor' was detained at the Limuru District Commissioners office before being handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department.
The arrest comes after reports indicated that he was on the run. A team of detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department on by Wednesday morning had taken over Mugo's case from the Police.

Mugo was confirmed to have graduated from the UoN on November 27, 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
According to the Academic Registrar department records, Mugo wa Wairimu was admitted to the School of Nursing at the university in 1996.

However, the Nursing Council of Kenya on Tuesday said that Mugo did not follow the Council's procedure outlined for one to be registered as a qualified nurse.
The Kenya Medical and Dentist Practitioners Board also confirmed that the nurse was not in their database.
“He can be a graduate in Nursing but what we know is that he is not registered and his clinic has not been certified by authorities to render services as per the law,” said Were Onyino, an official at the board.
Mugo's alleged activities were brought to light through an expose aired on Sunday by Citizen TV.
