Eliud Kipchoge

Eliud Kipchoge is the world record holder in the 42 km marathon with a time of 2:01:39, set on September 16, 2018, at the 2018 Berlin Marathon.

At the age of eighteen, he became the senior 5000m world champion at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics with a championships record.

Bien Aime Baraza

Bien is a vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and a band member of soul group Sauti Sol. 

He studied Journalism and Media Studies at the United States International University(USIU) and graduated in 2011.

Bien has been a member of Sauti Sol since 2006 and has written several songs and albums for the group.

Paul Yonga

Paul is an infectious and tropical disease physician based in Eldoret, Kenya.

He was awarded the 2019 IAMAT Violet Williams Travel Medicine Scholarship to train with the South African Society of Travel Medicine (SASTM) and participate in clinical observations at the Travel Doctor Clinic in Johannesburg.

IAMAT Scholarships provide training in travel medicine to practitioners who are passionate about improving care for local patients and travellers in their community.

Khaligraph Jones

Khaligraph Jones who is also known as Papa Jones is an influential Kenyan rapper with a unique style and a flow which cuts across the complexity of genres and eras with his music.

He was instrumental in advocating for the rights of musicians who protested the mismanagement of collective management organisations, in particular, the Music Copyright Society of Kenya which came under fire for low remittances to artists.

Ken Okoth

The late Kibra MP Ken Okoth will be remember for years to come due, to his track record as well the bravery he showed during his battle with cancer. 

Few politicians can be described as dedicated legislators who are connected well with their people and Ken Okoth was one of them.

He was known for his development agenda, particularly championing literacy and education, with Mbagathi Girls High School as one of his legacy projects. 

Fred Matiang'i

Fred Matiang'i is the CS in charge of the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government. 

Going by the dockets and responsibilities that President Uhuru Kenyatta entrusted him with in 2019, Matiang'i comes out as his confidant and right-hand man.

Twice in 2019, President Kenyatta assigned more powers to the CS.

In January 2019, the president, through an Executive Order, appointed the Interior CS to head all government projects.

Teacher Tabichi

Peter Mokaya Tabichi is a Kenyan science teacher at the Keriko Mixed Day Secondary School in Pwani Village situated in a remote, semi-arid part of Kenya’s Rift Valley.

He is the winner of the 2019 Global Teacher Prize becoming the first teacher from Africa to win the Ksh100 million World Teacher of the Year award during its fifth anniversary.

Michael Olunga

Michael Olunga is a Kenyan professional footballer who plays for Japanese club Kashiwa Reysol and the Kenya national team as a forward.

Olunga on November 23 scored 7 goals as Kashiwa Reysol beat Kyoto Sanga 13-1 in the final game of the season to conclude the league as top scorer runner up with 27 goals.

He was part of the Kenyan National team that took part in the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) that was held in Cairo, Egypt.
